Complete protection of devices against low temperatures and moisture

Our energy storage cabinets are designed to provide optimal operating conditions for equipment even in low temperatures. Integrated sensors monitor the internal environment, while the heating system and dehumidifying unit maintain stable temperature levels and proper humidity. As a result, the devices are effectively protected from both cold and excessive moisture, ensuring reliable operation throughout the entire year.

Secure your energy infrastructure

The cabinet is designed for outdoor installation and should be permanently anchored to the foundation, e.g. concrete screed. Power for the heating and ventilation system is supplied via an underground cable or, optionally, from the side of the cabinet after making an appropriate feed-through. The interior is secured with a lock that can be opened with the included universal key, allowing for safe operation in public spaces and on private property. Installation and servicing (except for filter cleaning) require appropriate qualifications in electrical engineering and assembly work.

Upon customer request, the cabinet can be equipped with:

  • a splash-proof cover that increases the enclosure’s protection rating from standard IP55 to IP56;
  • individual key for the cabinet door (a lock with a universal key is supplied as standard);
  • opening alarm;
  • powder fire extinguisher (cartridge).

What are energy storage cabinets used for?

The energy storage cabinet is designed to house electrical energy storage devices or other equipment that requires stable temperature and humidity conditions in its environment. The cabinet actively maintains the set temperature and reduces humidity. To this end, it is equipped with internal temperature and humidity sensors, a dehumidifier, a fan with a filter and heating blowers, as well as appropriate passive thermal insulation. The cabinet’s design protects its interior from water penetration and solid contaminants.

In order to correctly select a cabinet for energy storage, the required service and ventilation spaces must be taken into account:

  • After 20 cm of free space on each side of the warehouse (left + right = 40 cm in total)
  • Minimum 20 cm of free space above the storage area


This will ensure proper ventilation, free air flow and service access.

Yes, the temperature inside the cabinet can be controlled by the user. The cabinet is equipped with two thermostats (T.1 and T.2) and a hygrotherm (H.1), which allow you to set the desired temperature and humidity values.

  • Thermostat T.1 controls the operation of the heating blower – enables heating of the cabinet.
  • Thermostat T.2 controls the fan – responsible for cooling the interior of the cabinet.
  • Higroterma H.1 controls both temperature and humidity by controlling an additional heating fan.
 

The user can set the temperature and humidity independently using the knobs on these devices. The system operates autonomously – thermostats and hygrotherms automatically switch the actuators on or off depending on the set thresholds.

The cabinet is therefore fully prepared to maintain optimal operating conditions for energy storage throughout the year, including in winter and during significant temperature fluctuations.

MRSolar energy storage cabinets are available in a range of sizes, from compact models measuring 800×600×300 mm to the largest cabinets measuring 2000×1200×400 mm. All versions have a maximum permissible weight of the installed device of 300 kg. The built-in heating and dehumidifying system provides protection even at low temperatures – depending on the size of the cabinet, the heating power (dehumidifying + heating) ranges from approx. 147 W to 602 W at –20°C and from 63 W to 258 W at 0°C. The dehumidification function alone ranges from 32–134 W. All models are characterised by high thermal insulation at a level of 1.26 W/m²K.
